Ireen Sheer performing "Bye, Bye, I Love You", Luxembourg's entry at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest. This was the first appearance at the contest for two future ESC veterans, Ireen Sheer (who'd perform the much-beloved 1978 German entry and also represent Luxembourg in 1985) and, most notably, German stalwart Ralph Siegel, who'd go on to pen countless ESC entries (incl. many classics) over the next four decades. This isn't the best effort for either of them, but it's still a very cute number with lyrics that make a very clever use of Ireen's distinctively "foreign" accent.
